Constantia Flexibles has signed an agreement to sell its Labels division to Multi-Color Corporation (“Multi-Color”). The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017, subject to regulatory approvals.

Following a detailed strategy review, the Constantia Flexibles Top Management decided that the Labels Division would be better suited with another partner, which will support its ongoing growth story.
Established in 1916, Cincinnati, Ohio-based Multi-Color is one of the largest label companies in the world serving some of the most prominent brands in Healthcare, HPC, and Wine & Spirits.

Mike Henry, current EVP and Head of Constantia Labels: “The combination of the two businesses will better serve our customers with a wider product portfolio and geographical footprint. It will bring together Constantia Labels’ high performing Food and Beverage business with Multi-Color’s strong Wine and Spirit, and Home and Personal Care platforms, and emerging global position in Healthcare.”
“Verstraete IML is delighted to be joining Multi-Color”, said Koen Verstraete, Managing Director of Verstraete IML. “We see a strong future, when considering the many opportunities with Multi-Color. By taking this step we will be able to strengthen our partnership with our customers to support their growth”.
