At Verstraete IML, our goal is sustainable growth, both as a company and as individuals. That is why we consciously invest in the well-being and vitality of our people. We help you overcome the numerous challenges of everyday life and keep coming to work with a positive mindset. We have combined these and other investments in sustainable growth into a welness programme called 'we care'.

we care: dual responsibility

We consider sustainable growth a shared responsibility of both the employer and employees. As an employer, we launch initiatives for sustainable work: negotiable starting times, flexible hours for employees and the possibility for production employees to learn to work independently in self-managing teams. We evolve continuously, so you don’t get stuck in a dead-end job. Our focus is on developing your talents and interests. After all, this gives you energy and increases job satisfaction. Our employees are also given the opportunity to develop a more sustainable life style. Our focus on the person behind the employee is special and quite unique in Belgium. Verstraete IML plays a pioneering role in this approach.

Taking good care of yourself pays off. The 'we care' welness programme at Verstraete IML is based on the following four cornerstones:

The saying “a healthy mind in a healthy body” may be centuries old, but is still very much relevant. Exercise and movement are important and we participate in various sporting events every year together with our employees. 

We care about the health of our employees and want to encourage healthy eating habits. You can order healthy meals and snacks daily. We also have a monthly “fruit day” and offer you the possibility to attend cooking workshops on maintaining a healthy diet.


Relaxing your mind and body is essential to feeling fit. You can take part in monthly yoga sessions and other initiatives to combat stress and tension.

“Work hard, play hard!” We regularly organize relaxing team events, family events, a Christmas social get-together and so on. These events also give all of us the opportunity to get to know each other outside the workplace.
