HolyGrail project nominated for packaging Sustainability Award 2019
The HolyGrail project Verstraete IML participated in, is among the 25 finalists competing for the Packaging Europe Sustainability Awards 2019.
Along with 28 partners, the HolyGrail project was set up to investigate how tagging of plastic packaging can have a drastic impact on more accurate sorting and high-quality recycling. This cross-industry project ran for 3 years and was driven by the efforts from the different partners engaging themselves for a sustainable packaging future. Out of 193 submissions in total from 6 continents and across the whole of the packaging value chain, the Holy Grail project is one of the 5 final competitors in the 'Driving the circular economy' category.
We're happy and proud to compete against 4 other strong cases focused on bringing the circular economy one step closer! The award ceremony will take place September 25.
